In all honesty and fairness, can you really say all the “attacks” have been one-sided? Did you miss post #1024?

I find it difficult to understand the mentality where criticism of a practice is interpreted as attacking a person. I find it even harder to understand the silence about vicious posts on one side of the issue while at the same time ignoring those on the other side.

There’s been childish behavior on both sides and the way to win this debate is not to pretend to be the faultless side because it just ain’t true regardless of how often it’s repeated and by how many.

Do you consider this an attack on a person?

Out of interest, are you the type that blows up clinics to prevent abortions? Do you consider that to be an acceptable way to save babies? That would save babies but have harmful consequences. I am curious - would you go that far?

How about this?

Do you know what Vern? You are not worth the words. I am pulling out. I am sick of your extremism. You are not any better than a pro-choicer - just different in your approach! BTW you aren now on ignore and there to stay! Good riddance!

Or this, where the poster suggests all abortion is due to gang rape?

Once again, you are forcing me to have a conversation with my four year old about something that she does not have the experience or knowledge to comprehend.

“Why did the mommy not want her baby?”

“Because she was gang-raped, honey.”

“What’s gang-rape?”

So, you see, abortion is that act that you are portraying, but I am left with trying to explain all the actions that preceed the abortion.

Unless you want to make it easy for me and post gang-rape pictures.

Several people have pointed out there are three threads started for the purpose of attacking people who use these pictures. There are no threads started for the purpose of attacking people who oppose using the images.

Again and again, I have suggested the proper post for those who oppose using these images would be, “Well, I find them too disturbing to use. But to each his own.”

And look at the hatred and vituperation that brought down!

Yeah, I did – do you deny there are three posts attacking those who use the photos, and none attacking those who oppose them?

How about these posts:

I deplore personal attacks on anyone. However, the heat in this thread and the other two attacking those who use the photos is mostly generated by the opposition. No one came seeking out those who oppose using the photos.

I suggest we terminate all three threads by saying, “I personally oppose the use of the photos, but to each his own.”
