The Fr. Richard John Neuhaus Memorial Edition of First Things is out. I read some of what he wrote online and I started getting a lump on my throat. How I wish I could have heard him preach.

You can buy the edition at: www.firsthings.com

I am currently reading his book “Death on a Friday Afternoon”. It is a wonderful book on the Seven Last words of Christ.

What a great article. I will surely read more of his writings.

“Nunc Scripsi totum, peo Christo da mihi potum!” (I have now written everything, for the sake of Christ give me a drink!) -A Medieval Monk after having worked on a manuscript all day.

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

The whole magazine is awesome, especially his last article. I only hope that someone captured his homilies and would be willing to compile them into a book.

More than a traditional meditation. It’s a reflection of the type that reminds me of Pope Benedict.
