Fr. Solanus Casey's Beatification Mass at Ford Field, Nov. 18

I’m a fan of Father Solanus too but can’t attend. His Beatification Mass will be a special blessing for those who do attend and I hope you’re able to go.
 
I would so love to go but don’t know if I’ll be able too. I grew up hearing about him because my grandpa cut his hair when he was briefly in the seminary loooong ago. He saved the hair and now my mom has a first class relic.
 
That was my understanding. This was back in the late 40’s. thankfully Grandpa met my grandma around that time, sabotaging his plans for the priesthood or I wouldn’t be here to tell you about it lol

Deo Gratias! Blessed be God in all of His designs.

PRAYER FOR THE BEATIFICATION OF VENERABLE SOLANUS CASEY

O God, I adore You. I give myself to You.
May I be the person You want me to be,
and may Your will be done in my life today.

I thank You for the gifts You gave to Father Solanus.
If it is Your Will, bless us with the beatification of
Venerable Solanus so that others may imitate
and carry on his love for all the poor and suffering of our world.

As he joyfully accepted Your divine plans,
I ask You, according to Your Will,
to hear my prayer for . . . (your intention)
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
