Please pray for my brother who has been accepted into the Army and the Archdiocese of the Military as an Army Chaplain. He said he maybe deployed to Iraq in January 09’. My parents and some members of my family are having a hard time with this. My Father lost a brother in WW ll.

While I’m nervous, scared, and concerned for his well being, I’m also supporting his decision. He was my best man at my wedding and I gave the toast at his First Mass reception. He said he has been praying for this decision longer than his decision to become a priest.

Please Pray.

As a former Army wife, I hold this Chaplain now close to my heart 🙂 . For those who give their lives for a friend, earn the Kingdom of Heaven.

I can only applaud and thank men like your brother who are willing to go into the heart of human depravity which is war as representatives of the Lamb of Peace. They bring comfort and ease the pain of others in a very difficult situation, often times at great risk to themselves physically and spiritually.

Lord Jesus protect and sustain this man of God, your brother in priesthood, as he attempts to bring peace and comfort to those who need it most. May he be a beacon of hope and consolation as he walks among the troops as your representative. Give him the strength he will need to fulfill this task you have set before him. Amen.

Will be keeping your brother in prayer for his assignment to Iraq…may The Lord richly bless him and keep him safe and may you and the family be spared all undue anxieties…
