…two novices and a final.

I’m not too wild about the pillbox, but you can’t argue with success!

They are an awesome and impressive gorup of women. They are intelligent, orthodox and live a very challenging life. I had the honor of being taught theology by three of their sisters of my Alma Mater in Rome when I was working on my doctorate. They teach very high level theology, especially Mystical Theology, which is very diffcult to teach. They are always warm and friendly.

By the way, they don’t wear a pill box. It’s actually a crown with a veil over it. The symbollism is Jesus crown of thorns. They were a cross made of nails over their chest. They take these symbols from the writings of St. Francis who praises the glory of the cross.

Fraternally,

Br. JR, OSF 🙂

I always wondered what the significance of their veil was. It looked different from any I had seen before. Thank you for the explanation. That’s beautiful. 👍
