The hip hop thing is nothing new… there are rap versions of Ave Maria on YouTube. Just watching them, the intent seems no different than a ukelele version of the Ave Maria in Hawaii. Looks like this is just a gathering of people - not mass. Steubenville also offers the EF on campus now.

The video is taken in the bottom floor of the student center at Franciscan University (the bookstore is behind the performers). This, in addition to the field house, is one of the main locations for student entertainment activities (e.g. dances, music performances). I never have seen any Masses or other liturgical services offered on the bottom floor of the student center, although Masses and Praise and Worship nights are held in the field house.
