The label “Traditional Franciscans” is incorrect. The Francisans of the Immaculate do have permission to celebrate the EF in conventual chapels. They also have permission to the use the Seraphic Breviary of 1960. In this regard, one may properly say that the a Traditionalists. However, this permission is granted by the Superiors General. They retain the authority to retract the permission. They’re not tied into the EF or the old Seraphic Breviary. However, right now, it seems to work well for them. As I say, “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.”
Thank you Br. JR.
You can’t edit the title now. On some forums, you can go to the forum index, left click twice just to the left of the title and it will highlight. Then hit backspace and re-type. Then left click on the scroll bar or somewhere it won’t open a link.Thank you Br. JR.
I meant in no way to misrepresent Traditional Franciscans. I will edit the title of the thread per the new information I just learned. The problem is, I’m a new user and I don’t now how to edit the titles of threads?
