Does anyone know if any of the Friars of the Immaculata celebrate the EF almost exclusively? Are there certain of their locations which are know to be more traditional than others?

On the whole, are they very traditional, orthodox, and solid as an order?

Also, does anyone have insight as to the solidity of their seminary formation?

Thank you in advance for any insights thoughts!

In Jesus and Mary.

They are no longer allowed to celebrate the EF because the Pope restricted them from doing so. From my understanding they are still very traditional though.

Thank you, Sean!
Do they not celebrate the EF anywhere at all, or is it just that they must principally celebrate the OF?

Happy Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe!!

They can celebrate it if they get approval to celebrate it in the right circumstances

I’m not familiar with the Friars of the Immaculata, but why has the Pope limited their access to the traditional Mass?

Boy is that a long story. The short version is that a lot of hostility to the OF emerged within the leadership of the community and when they changed to EF only they did not reach a consensus to do so within their community. So the change was imposed from above so to speak. Those who liked the OF complained.

It was all a big mess. Father Z covered it pretty well at the time. Search his blog.
