It’s acceptable in that it isn’t profane. I gather for you it’s akin to what we would gasp at with the “r” word.
I’ll tell you that there are some words in the UK and Australia that seem to be common that would make a trucker blush here.
Best to just let each culture be.
 
I say, OP, something to bear in mind for the future if you ever write on a mainly UK board - don’t go using that word ‘spazzy’ It’s very much frowned on in the UK as it’s seen to be derived from ‘spastic’ and is definitely not politically correct.
It’s not a great word here, either.
 
True but it isn’t one that would even get a glance at the checkout line. I’m guessing in the UK it wouldn’t fly like it might here.
