Hey everyone. I just thought you all might be interested in this website which will give a free Catechism or Rosary to any Protestant, Jew, or Muslim who asks for one. Here’s the link for the free Catechism:

askacatholic.com/_WhatsNew/feature_pages/CatechismForProtestantsProgram.cfm

Oh and by the way, Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses are allowed to get one or both too.

And here’s the link for the free Rosary:

God Bless and happy searching to all of you who are seeking to know more about the Catholic Church. 👍

Holly 🙂

Thanks for the info, Holly. Evangelism without pressure. Well done. 👍

With all the anti-Catholic trash I’ve seen on the web, I have to ask:

How do we know that the book he’s sending out is actually correct? Is there some Catholic kind of “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” that we can look for?

Just asking,

Pax,

Dettingen

The Vatican holds the copyright to that book, and it has the proper permission for printing by (then) Cardinal Ratzinger, and two introductory letters from (then) Pope John Paul II. It’s the authorized English language copy.

You’re welcome. I’m only doing my job as an unworthy servant of the Lord.

God Bless,
Holly

Well, the Catechism he is sending out has an Imprimi Potest by then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. Here is what an Imprimi Potest is:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imprimi_potest

As you can see, there first must have been issued a nihil obstat for the publication which is a “attestation by a church censor that a book contains nothing damaging to faith or morals”.

Exactly. 👍

Although the Catechism is certainly authoritative, it is rather dry. Is it really the best book with which to evangelize?

Well, I would not know for sure but I would say that those who have been investigating and are now wanting to get deeper in to the teachings of the Church would find it useful. 🙂
