Free Catholic Bibles?

Friends,

I just wanted to know if any of you knew of any Catholic evangelization/missionary organizations that offer free Bibles. I know LDS and Evangelical groups are the most noticeable, but a Protestant friend asked if there were similar Catholic organizations. Any information would be appreciated.

It all depends on what that person was getting at. I know there are protestant groups like the Gideon’s International that give out free pocket NewTestatments (w/Psalms & Proverbs) which both Catholic and Protestant accept the same NT, btw I have two of those pocket Bibles and they are great.

If the person you were talking to was really interested in a Catholic (ie complete) Bible then Im sure you could get some donation or something for them to get one. But as DeFide said you have to be careful, Im sure if Catholic Bibles were handed out free then Im sure there would be many anti-Catholics being told by their pastors to go take a copy and burn it so it doesnt fall into someones hands.
