I did that too, but it was a very long wait and a lot of administrative fuss for a super quick dip in a tub.

I’d like to go back and see St. Bernadette’s family home and things in the town, which I did not have time to see.

That was neat too. Her first home was a crowded room, her second was at the mill, which she said felt like paradise (compared to the first one of course). There is also the wall and door which she used when going to talk to the Abbot.

Hooray! I hope mine arrives soon too.

I am really excited about the virtual retreat. I went to Lourdes once about 15 years ago and that was wonderful.

Thank you again, @Tis_Bearself for posting about the virtual pilgrimage!

I just “traveled” there and had a wonderful pilgrimage experience!

God bless you for sharing with your CAF family, I would not have known about this otherwise!

Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m hoping to do it maybe in December.
I’d like to do it on a day when I won’t already be scheduled for some other plenary indulgenced activity.

@Tis_Bearself @Irishmom2 I participated in the virtual Lourdes Pilgrimage today. It was an amazing experience. I’m still in awe that a virtual experience would be so emotional for me. I sat here with tears running down my face. So appropriately, they showed a picture of Bernadette’s family and remarked that some were affectionate and glad to be part of the picture, and others not so much. A reminder that when we look at pictures of our family, we will see the same thing. It truly was a virtual pilgrimage and followed the experience you would if you were there in person. I was so moved by the ones there for healing on their cots and wheel chairs. The volunteers there to assist them. So now I need to get to confession and the Eucharist to complete.

The December 8th pilgrimage is the one I am signed up for. I picked that day since it is a Marian feast day. So very excited for this!

😂 I thought I was the only one with tears running down my face! 😉
