Free Music!!

[didymus]

I’m still learning about podcasts, I never knew you could get free music – I mean good stuff.

There an NPR show of Celtic music called Thistle & Shamrock that has a 'cast, Deutsche Welle has a Beethovenfest 'cast and a site called Magnatune has podcasts of just about any kind of music you care to name: jazz, hammered dulcimer, Bach, ambient (whuzzat?), rock.

I should add that this is all perfectly LEGAL as well as free – and without the risk of nasty viruses.

didymus,

“ambient” is what used to be called “new age”, but that description ran off some potential listeners so it’s changed.

I just tried Magnatune because I love the hammered dulcimer and they have some pretty good stuff on there!

Thanks for the links.

[Ruthie]

Thanks for the links! Now I have medieval music from Magnatune playing in the background. I can’t wait until Thistle & Shamrock is able to 'cast whole shows.

In musical bliss,

Ruthie

If you want to hear the whole show I think you’ll have to find it on you local NPR station, but check out: http://www.celticmusicpodcast.com/
