free, online RSV-CE?

Is anyone aware of a Catholic Edition RSV bible online that’s free? The only online bible I know to be Catholic lives at ewtn.com 🙂

Is there a free online copy of the Ignatius Bible?

It is a Protestant site but there is a Douay-Rheims with deutrocanonicals (along with a bunch of Protestant versions) here:

www.unboundbible.org

They also have original language versions which are neat.

Try etext.virginia.edu/rsv.browse.html this is RSV with deuterocanonical and apocrapha listed at the bottom of the page…the deuterocanonical are called “apocrapha” on this site (not Catholic) but it is RSV.

The RSV is also online at:

As far as I know these are the approved versions for Catholics:
  • New American Bible (NAB)
  • Revised Standard Version (RSV)
  • The Ignatius Bible (which is the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition (RSV-CE)
  • Douay Rheims
  • Navarre
  • The Jerusalem Bible
I have found some online and some not.

RSV (Revised Standard Version)

-It has the footnotes but…you have to know what verse you are looking for, you can’t
just do a search like you can on some of the other sites for a certain passage if you
don’t already know where to find it.

Just be aware that EWTN site’s missing chapters 27-36 in Numbers
and chapters 3-12 in Ecclesiastes, and these are books of the Protestant Canon:confused: oh well, at least they tried…

Nope, AllHers, there’s no RSV2CE on Internet, probably due to Ignatius’ Copyright (after all, the purpose of such is so that the “authors” of this transl. need compensation for their work)
I’m happy that Scepter hasn’t come after Jmom’s site in HongKong (the geocities site you posted aboue)
(btw her RSVCE isn’t Ignatius’ classic blue transl. it’s in fact Scepter’s transl. which has mixed elements of the blue Iggy and the Protestant1971, mostly by accident as Mmortal, Porthos, or Manfred can tell you
