Help! Our oven died yesterday. The preheat switch went out on it for not the first time. I’ve always been able to fix it before by repair or replacing the switch but this thing is so old I can no longer find parts and we have 28 people coming for Turkey next week.

I’m looking at new ovens and thinking I want to get the kind with the sealed burners (ceramic) so the cleaning is easier. Anyone have experience with these and any makes and models that they would recommend or any that I should avoid like Pelagius?

Thanks,

Bryan

You are talking ‘freestanding stove’ ? I don’t have one but I do know several people who do and like the ceramic top. These are the newer models as the old ones, 15-20 yrs old, were not up to snuff said some. I would get one if I were getting a new stove.

Thanks. I had to get one today so I knew it was in before the weekend. I did get a ceramic top one.
