Freemasonry is based on a philosophy of the world that is diametrically opposed to that of Catholicism. In particular, Freemasonry in the upper echelons of initiation has a very definite idea about God that is at odds with the Catholic idea of God.

correct me if I’m wrong but does it have something to do with relativism, something about an oath and all religions being equal ?

one thing I don’t get is where people make the connection between the knights templar and the Freemasons I’ve been told it has something to do with a tomb or document that was found in a Scottish chapel but I don’t know if there is anything concrete to that.

Freemasonry is evil. It’s hard to know what it’s really about since it clothes itself in darkness and secrecy. Please stay away from it and pray for the person that asked you to join that they renounce freemasonry and join the Catholic Church.

That’s part of it, yes. Plus, historically, societies of free masons have come out against the Church with threats to tear it down. But as you can tell, their attempts have failed.

It has been asked whether there has been any change in the Church’s decision in regard to Masonic associations since the new Code of Canon Law does not mention them expressly, unlike the previous code.

Everyon’e thinks Islam will take over the world as their interpretation of revelations but if you read about Freemasons this is their goal and they have this secret society that will do anything to achieve this goal. We have Marian apparitions that talk about Masonic sects.

There was one apparitions in 1500’s and another one recently.

There is an excellent point here, righteousness need not hide from anyone, secrecy is not required to be up right, nor to do justice, but on the other hand, if those who are in power and authority are corrupt, and would speak words like this, then what?

I think Christ Alone was able to express the truth about God and religion in such a way that there would be no distinction between the learned and the unlearned. All others, I think, including Moses, were unable to do so and consequently, there is a difference in most schools of thought between the initiated and the uninitiated. Secrets are kept from the uninitiated, not because those “in the know” are up to evil, but rather because the uninitiated do not as yet possess the necessary mental tools to grasp the “inner” or esoteric teachings.

Its called, “revelation”. Which is done by power and Spirit of God, not mental capacity.

Na, na na na, mental tools are handy but its revelation of God, that only God can do, that brings the Truth of God to the soul. Most wittiness’ can’t with hold from others, what they now know. Even Peter states Prophecy is not private.

In Moses’ case the Israelites where following revelation of the Lord their God in fire and smoke and Word and deed, none of it was of the mind of Moses, nor the doing of Moses. The Lord their God wasn’t revealed through Moses, though in most but not all cases Moses told them what the Lord said to tell them. In the case of the Ten Commandments the Lord spoke directly to the Children of Israel.
And no, its not as complicated as the following, this speaks of its own deceit and is certainly not of the Spirit of God. That which is of God is Truth and cannot be anything else, though those who refuse to believe may never see, or perceive it.

It is true that in the Lord’s Judgement He might with hold revelation, but men don’t make that decision. In a single conversation two men, of similar intellect and back ground, hear the same thing, one comes to the Lord Jesus, and the other doesn’t, its revelation not intellect.

The Torah came from God, through the mind of Moses. Without Moses’ mind, God did not write the Torah.

Moses did not take dictation from God the way the Qur’an allegedly came to Muhammad. Rather, God used Moses’ mind, his understanding, to write Holy Scripture. God has more respect for a human being than to bypass the understanding of His prophets.

Self-contradictory. If Moses told them what God said to tell them, that is God revealing Himself through Moses.

In Pharaoh’s eyes, Moses was very God, and Aaron was Moses’ prophet.

No, He did not. He spoke directly to Moses. Moses came down from the mountain with stone tablets upon which were inscribed the Commandments. That is not God speaking directly, that is God carving stone directly and giving that stone to his intermediary, Moses, to give to His People.

Liber vel Magi does not claim to be the Word of God, but the Word of a Magus. It is written for Magi. If you are not a Magus, it makes no sense to you, and isn’t for you. That is why, at the end of it, it states, “And in the word CHAOS, let the book be sealed, yea, let the book be sealed.”

Liber vel Magi is not intended for the general instruction of mankind, but rather for the instruction of those who are the general instructors of mankind, i.e. the Magi. All the founders of the world’s major religions were Magi. They preached their law to men because that is what their grade required of them, and men were deceived by their preaching because that it what happens when a human being tries to teach Ineffable Truth. But the alternative, i.e. not to preach, would have been a dereliction of duty on their part. If one can help, one must help, or else one’s gifts are in vain.
