Yes, while a Methodist I was a Mason for over 30 years, and an officer of my lodge.
Devil worship - ridiculous nonsense! Secrets? Sure, but just the ceremonies when one goes through the degrees.

All Masons I knew were either Christians (90%) or Jews (10%). One much profess a belief in God, but other than that, religion is not discussed. Activities are social or charitable.

Meetings are tedious and boring. Rituals for the degrees are based on the building of the temple in Jerusalem.

That’s it. No conspiracies, no devils. 🙂
What degree did you reach? According to many Catholic materials, it’s at the much higher levels where the oaths becomes extremely contradictory to the Catholic faith and any real Christian

As FYI - Dr. Deacon Mark Miravalle, STD (Professor of Theology at Franciscan University) has a new talk coming out on CD which discusses the Masons which is very informative. When it comes out, I will be available via Lighthouse Catholic Media in April. I would love to hear your comments about it if/when you hear it.

God Bless

there are many Freemasons who attend my Church-most are up there in years -there is no hostility to Christianity at all-one must believe in, to use an AA phrase a Higher Power-there is a sub group of Masons called the Knights Templar who are Christian oriented

they donate to Sewannee the university of the South

nothing Satanic as far as I know-they do a lot of good particularly with their Hospitals for burns and orthopedic problems with children
