I am glad you recognize that without God then there is likewise no sin.My entire worldview - indeed, my entire world - does not involve God, other than as a superstitious concept. So neither does it involve sin, other than as a term for the breach of an arbitrary and outmoded religious moral code.
This is tacit agreement with what I am saying (perhaps I am simply not communicating well).
Sin is a religious concept. And sin is defined in reference to God (not man). However, that’s beside the point, which is that stating that God can do X and it’s not a sin because he’s God, whereas if you or I were to do X it would be a sin, is double standards, and equates to special pleading.
God’s will is exactly that, GOD’s will. What God wants to happen.
Sin is resistance to this will. Either in a breach of his laws or in simple disobedience.
One cannot disobey themselves. As soon as a decision is arrived at to a specific action (any action), the will has changed to suit, and the person is still in obedience to themselves.
But anyone else can disobey you…your will is not theirs, and their choice to an action does not in any way change your will. So their action may or may not be what you want, and could easily be against your will.
Likewise with God. God cannot disobey himself.
But we can, and unfortunately do.
