As recently reported, peaceful demonstrations against a Christianophobic play in France have been held several times in the city of Paris, particularly as theatre continues to show this blasphemous production in which a portrait of Christ is attacked with fecal matter.
On Saturday, October 29, a third protest was held in Paris at six o’clock in the evening (noon by Central Standard Time reckoning) and over 5,000 Parisians, clergy and laity, came to participate. A remarkable number considering that the first demonstration in front of the Theatre de Ville during the play’s first showing consisted of only 50 traditional Catholic protestors.
The police brutally reacted to this small and peaceful demonstration by pepper-spraying the protestors and severely beating several of the youth. Undeterred, over 200 showed for the second protest with the police responding by the arrest of 140 demonstrators, but worse, by deliberately running over the foot of a young boy with a police car—the boy was taken to the hospital in such serious condition that he might lose his foot. While considerably a less harsh reaction in comparison to the first two protests, nevertheless the police continued their tactics of using mace and nightsticks on several protestors during Saturday’s demonstration.
You can read the full story here and no before you ask I wasn’t bothered to find a better source, because the source is pretty helpful what with the 4 embedded videos and all 😛

I have to say I am proud of those folks. The world needs to stop looking at Christians as wimps, with a religion that is there for the trampling.

👍 Exactly what I thought when I saw the videos.

No seriously, it’s actually laughable. What these bigots don’t relise is how much the Catholic Church contributes to society. If it wasn’t for the Church we would still be in the dark ages, and even today the Church is the biggest charitable organisation on the planet. With the amount of work the Church does today, I wouldn’t be suprised if society collapsed if the Church decided to stop helping people.

Meh. God Bless.

Hmm I am all for Respecting Our God but maybe protestors went about this the wrong way.
  1. They “interrupted” the show: this can only mean 1 of 2 things, either they actually put $ in this blasphemers pocket by buying a ticket to the show or 2) they broke in and hijacked the play (illegal)
  2. They threw eggs at people. Not quite the same as the Islam Fundies reaction to the DAnish cartoon of Mohamad but still egging is not the most persuasive manner of sharing Christ’s love.
As for this sentiment

We are called upon by Christ to be the biggest wimps that have ever existed in human history (Matt 5:39), the ability to take the abuse and still love the abuser, is what makes us strong. They should’ve been praying a rosary for these people, not egging them

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a violent person. I’m not even a disruptive person.

But I’m sure you know the Catholic Church has stood for what it believes in its past… And sometimes that involved picking up a sword.

Maybe I’m being carnal right now.

Nevertheless…😃

Which they did and which you would know if you’d actually bothered to read the story… Most of the demonstrations were peaceful again shown in the video, why you’re focusing on the few that broke in is beyond me 🤷

That said sorry but nowhere does it say we are to take people blaspheming and insulting our Lord, in fact a few saints including St Louis de Montfort punched people and started fights for similar reasons…
