French kissing before marriage

I mean the entire spectrum; from a little peck on the lips to open mouth kissing with the exchange of saliva to lips biting

Should it be reserved for marriage or is that pushing it too much? It does seem to be a very sexual act intended to induce arousal. I’ve never heard a priest or catechist or apologist discuss the issue. Does it violate or make it easier for a person to violate the “laws” of Chastity. Would you recommend that a couple refrain from such activities totally until marriage?
 
Some on here will say don’t do it, others will disagree.

I found that kissing my now wife helped seal the emotional bond between us.

Absolutley not!

But then I don’t expect her to marry until she has a Rhodes Scholarship from Oxford, an Olympic Gold medal and has written her first novel.

Now - if I could relive my life again would I kiss all those girls again?

I don’t know about you but I’ve never kissed a woman in that way without feeling that stirring in the loins. So I avoid it.

You know what I meant. I’m going to let you slide on this one. 😉

To the OP. I think one has to determine the limits for themselves on how much or how deeply kissing affects them.

This. Read Love and Responsibility and some other works about the virtue of chastity. The more you begin to understand what chastity itself is the easier it will be to apply those principle in your own personal life and determine when and if a certain action is crossing into the territory of being unchaste, whether it is leading one to lust or not. Its really easy to give big generalities as answers to these kinds of questions, but I find that the best answer is, instead of looking to find out how far you can push the envelope you should instead learn more about what chastity is, learn to see chastity as a beautiful and valuable thing and from there you will be able to use your informed conscience to guide you in all your particular situations. Well it ain’t sex so I don’t see much harm unless you’re doing it with someone who you aren’t in a relationship with. Then again I’m not that into French kissing since well, it ain’t my tongue and my saliva, so yea, call me a prude. I just find it rather “too involving.” A good make out session or passion kiss would be more than enough for me. :)🙂

I always wondered for Catholic actors, like actually practicing Catholic actors, what they think of when they do a kissing scene. Hmmm. I bet it’s “BLANK MIND BLANK MIND.” director yells cut, goes onto next scene “Okay back to reality, thanks goodness that was the final take.” hahaha,

LOL! Just imagine French kissing someone you barely know in front of about 50 or more people and lots of lights and cameras and microphones while trying to remember your lines. 😃

As a catholic frenchman, I can say that the kiss on mouth, and only on the lips between fiancés (engaged persons before the wedding) is not, by nature sinful. The same, in my opinion, between a boy friend and a girl friend** with noble intentions.**

The same opinion for the normal French kiss (passionate kissing) between the fiancés, if it is not too much. The limit is not to go further, if you understand what I want to say. The moderation of French kiss before the marriage is the key, the debate of its morality should be concerning the level of passion of French kiss and the effects. **The intentionality of the link of love, between the future bride and the future bridegroom, is the key. **The same rules, in my opinion, between a boy friend and a girl friend, **if there are noble intentions. **The intentionality of the link between boy friend and girl friend is the key. The French kiss has to be only moderated.

This is an example, in my humble opinion. As catholic, I can be okay with this Fr. Paul Sretenovic , I do not have to be on the same line than Fr. Paul Sretenovic. It is a christian position, not the true catholic position, in my opinion.
