Friday 9th. Nov - Feast Lateran Basilica - Day of Penance?

Can anyone tell me please if this Friday, 9th. November, Feast of the Dedication of The Lateran Basilica is still observed as a day of penance, or is it suspended being a Feast Day?
Personally I suspend Friday penance if it happens to be a Feast or Solemnity, but I do not know what the official Church position actually is.

From what I know, the penance is only suspended if there is a solemnity, not on feasts. But i may be wrong.

Thank you Ahlman…I did do a search on the internet but could not come up with anything. It is an interesting point as to what precisely the Church ordains. Blessings - Barb

Can. 1251 Abstinence from meat, or from some other food as determined by the Episcopal Conference, is to be observed on all Fridays, unless a

solemnity

should fall on a Friday. Abstinence and fasting are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
