Today was the first day I have ever been to this service(I’m in RCIA). I must say I was filled with somber reverence. The Priest and Deacons were in black, there was no singing except for the Kyrie Eleison ie Lord Have Mercy; between when the Deacon spoke and the Priest. Over all it was a sad Maronite service. Its fitting due to the crucifixtion, still sad though. I believe this service was done throughout the Catholic and Orthodox church and possibly even the Anglican. So my question is Did the other Christian churches celebrate a similar service?
