Friend going to 1st Mass

Dh and I have been talking to a friend of mine for over a year and he is very open to the Catholic Faith right now. This Sunday he is going to Mass with us and I hope it goes well. So far he has been receptive to the faith and is very enthusiastic about looking into it further.

He was sorta raised in the same protestant church as I was, which is how I know him. He “did not” believe in God for a while, but now has complete changed and has become very passionate about God, so I pray that passion leads him to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
 
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.

Dear God, please help this and all new Catholics to be aithful, and please give grace and love for their Catholic communities to continue to love and support them

I’ll be praying that he finds it interesting enough to enter the RCIA classes and learn more!
