Friend raped by father

Hi there,

I have a friend who I have written about before here, who has all sorts of problems with self-loathing and with letting anyone love her. She was abused sexually as a child, but now she has suddenly remembered another instance wherein it was her father doing it.

I can’t tell you how much is going on for her all over, and now this is obviously going to make it far worse. She is currently in adoration even though she has so many problems with God due to all she is going through, not being able to trust Him or believe He loves her or things like that.

Pray for her please, especially right now and also later.

Father, who loves and protects Your children, please protect those in danger, and heal those who are abused by ther fathers or relatives. Please help this girl to recover. Please give her the counselling and support she needs in order to become whole. I ask, in the name of Jesus.
 
Prayers for her, especially to St Dymphna, who is patron both of those with mental or nervous disorders and abused children.
 
God reveal the glory of suffering to those who are confused by it. Comfort Lazerlike’s friend with minstering angels. With mercy, teach her Your love. Mary, pray with us. Amen. :gopray2:
 
Oh, the poor dear… she is most certainly in my prayers! What a very, very tragic thing to have happened!

If it’s any help to know, one of my best friends had to endure a very similar circumstance in her youth; she has not stopped hurting of course, but six years on she is doing better. She has found the Church to be marvelously helpful, particularly Adoration… so perhaps your friend will find similar comfort in God.

Again, she is very much in my prayers… I cannot express how very sorry I am to hear of this awful situation!
