Friend was arrested - please pray!

Please, please pray for this person! He was addicted to drugs before becoming a Christian and he is not exactly mentally stable without his medication. He is a wonderful person who loves God and loves his wife with a passion. He found a job not that long ago and they for some reason required him to stop taking his medication. I don’t know the details but he became drunk and stabbed his wife. He has a hearing soon. His wife is physically fine - emotionally… as well as can be expected. Nobody knows how he is doing now except his attorney because he’s not supposed to be in contact with anyone. Please pray! When he is on his medication, he is a very loving person. I would trust him with my life. But I never expected this… I don’t know why this had to happen and I can only imagine what may be running through his mind right now. I honestly don’t know how he’ll react when he fully realizes what he’s done. The concept that he actually attacked his wife could send him way downhill mentally and emotionally. Please pray harder than you’ve ever prayed before for him and his wife!

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Merciful God we ask that this man will receive all the help needed to overcome what has led to a serious assault on another person that could have resulted in her death.
Please help his wife to recover from the attack upon her that will have shattered her trust, has caused physical and mental fear and pain, and could have killed her.

Our God, we ask of You outcomes that meet whatever is needed for the temporal and spiritual welfare of this man and for those with whom he comes into contact.
We ask also for the spiritual, emotional, and temporal welfare of his wife. Please give her guidance and all other graces she may need.

Mother Mary please pray for them both in this shattering circumstance, that there will be recovery and peace, and that all will be according to God’s loving will.

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

Praying that your friend will get the help and support he needs, and that his wife will recover physically and mentally from the attack.

Good news!

The judge has lifted the no-contact order! My friend is now on probation. He is back on his medication and has returned home to his wife. He first told her that he wouldn’t blame her if she wanted a divorce, but she loves him way too much for that. She has forgiven him and welcomed him back with open arms. I’m sure there is still a bumpy road ahead of them but things are definitely looking up.
