Friend's brother passed away and he feels guilty

A friend of mine from my school days recently found out that his brother passed away due to alcohol poisoning. The thing is, his brother passed away two weeks ago and he’s just finding out now, because a decade ago my friend stopped talking to his brother because he thought he was toxic. And now my friend feels guilty about the decision not to talk to his brother. I don’t know any more details than that, but it’s a tough situation. Please keep him, his family, and his brother’s soul in your prayers.

I pray that God has mercy on your friend’s brother. May He also comfort his family and everyone else who was affected by this death. Amen.
 
O Lord, I ask you to console, strengthen and dry the tears of the family of the gentleman who recently passed, and to fill the brother with peace of conscience, fill them all with your Light and understanding. Grant this gentlman eternal rest O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
 
I will pray for the soul of the deceased brother, and that the living brother finds peace.

I have been in a similar situation as the living brother and I have empathy for him.

O Lady of Mental Peace,

Mother of Tranquility

and Mother of Hope,

look upon Vash88’s friends brother in this time

of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart

to know that God’s Love

for her is unchanging and

unchangeable, and, that

true human love can only

begin and grow by touching

His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -

which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this

same Peace into the lives

of others.
