A friend’s cat, Halen, was to be euthanized today, but the vet wants to try one more treatment. Please pray for Halen and her “mother”. Also, does anyone have a specific prayer to St. Francis for healing of pets?

Prayers said for the cat’s owner. May Our Heavenly Father grant the owner the ability to put the animal down if need be. I said a prayer for Halen and her owner. I asked St. Francis to pray for the cat too. I don’t know any specific St. Francis prayers for animals, but I’m sure you could Google some. I hope everything works out OK. As a huge cat lover myself, I know how it much it hurts to watch these little furry friends of ours suffer. I feel for your friend. Take care and God bless!

St. Gertrude of Nivelles is known as the Patron Saint of Cats.
She was known for her kindness to cats while at the monastery, so she is also depicted with a cat or cats in paintings of her.

I have asked for her intercession at times when my kitty has not been feeling well. There have been times when my kitty is troubled by GI disturbances.
