Friend's wife has terminal cancer

Thank you all for your prayers on this thread.

My friend has just let all of his long distance friends know that his wife passed away last month shortly after he was able to bring her home.

I’m sure all the prayers have been helping speed her soul to heaven and helping him cope during this difficult time.

Eternal rest grant unto my friend’s wife, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace.
May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

Lord,
My friend’s wife is gone now from this earthly dwelling,
and has left behind my friend and others who mourn her absence.
Grant that they may hold her memory dear,
never bitter for what they have lost
nor in regret for the past,
but always in hope of the eternal Kingdom
where you will bring them all together again.
Through Christ our Lord.
