I have a very close “former” Catholic friend (complicated) who honestly seems to think I am going to Hell. (She goes to a Baptist church, now). I tried to make it work with her, I really did. Unfortunately, that did not seem to be very mutual. She and I have known each other for years, and no matter what I said, she would not listen to me. She still won’t. She doesn’t want to talk it out, and she thinks I am going to Hell. If only she realised that the very reason I am worried about her is because I don’t want her to go to hell…Hello All,
I’ve written before about my long time friend who is Mormon. We have always been very respectful of each other’s beliefs and focus on our mutual love for Jesus. However in the last two years she has moved to Utah for work and become more involved with her Mormon friends. When she does visit I feel it’s out of convience or duty since we always try to meet when she visits. I have always put more effort into the relationship and even though she says she will try she never emails, calls or texts. I’ve come to peace knowing our friendship is over but I did send a talk about a Mormon who become Catholic asking her opinion and she hasn’t responded which is not uncommon it could be weeks before I hear something. I guess as a friend hopefully she we recognize the distance
It’s hard because she will post stuff about her Mormon faith and I feel disregarded even though I’ve put so much effort into our friendship and sharing my faith. I’m praying God will bless me with a new friend.thanks for listening to me vent
