Dear CAF Prayer Warriors and Friends,

I read somewhere that the phrase “fear not” appears more than any other phrase in the Bible.

I am in need of courage and strength, and possibly a miracle.

Tomorrow, I’ll be visiting a doctor to be checked for a possible health problem which could impact my ability to work and support my family for months to come.

I don’t even know what to ask. I want to ask for a clean bill of health, or at worst, something that will only take me ‘out of action’ for days instead of months.

I have struggled off and on with my faith life for a few years now. I try to pray, but my prayers feel weak and pitiful. I rarely attend church due to family issues (a topic for another thread.). I don’t feel that I’m doing enough to show my gratitude to God, nor enough to help my fellow man. I used to read and post to the prayer intentions forum (on the old CAF), but these days I just don’t have the strength of will.

With all of this, I don’t feel worthy to ask for healing, although I desperately need it to be able to support my family.

You can see that my mind is in a bit of a mess right now. If anyone feels moved to pray for me, I’ll be more grateful than words can express.

Praying for your healing in body and mind.

Remember the Lord loves you the most when you are weak and in a pitiful state…just like Himself during His Passion. Give Him all your faults and failings. He will love you, not just in spite of them, but because of them. (<— Not my idea. I was reading the book “Mother Theresa’s Rosary Meditations” over the weekend and it’s from there.)

Thank you so much for these kind words. I have tears in my eyes. Thank you.

I will try to look for the book in e-book form; it sounds beautiful.

This is the book. I’m not sure if there’s an eBook because it is an old book, from 1984. It relates the Rosary to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and is for use during Adoration, so one of my Adoration chapels has several copies. I found the meditations to be pretty unique and different.
Mother Theresa didn’t write the book herself, but she endorsed it and used to use it herself and give copies to priests as gifts, apparently.

Praying for your healing. Lord, also send Morwenna gifts of strength, faith, peace, hope and love. In Jesus’ name we ask!
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amoung women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, NOW and AT THE HOUR of OUR DEATH. Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray and do thou, Oh Prince Of the Heavenly Host,
By the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl
About the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, Implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me, Amen ✝️

Hail Mary, full of grace,

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Thank you, Katie, Carl, SugarMagnolia, and Katherine.

I’m terribly worried that I’ll be a burden to my family. I know some families wouldn’t see it as such, but my case is different.

I’m desperately praying for a good result from the doctors later today.

Thank you again. I feel less alone because of all who posted here.

Almighty and Everlasting God, the eternal salvation of those who believe in You, hear us on behalf of Your servant @morwenna who is sick, for whom we humbly beg the help of your mercy, so that, being restored to health, they may render thanks to you in your Church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Yes “fear not” appears many times. Without words, the Lord knows what in in your heart and mind. Don’t “borrow trouble”. Pray for healing and the strength to care for your family. Deal with whatever happens if and when it does.

You don’t have to feel worthy to be prayed for, my friend. I pray that God makes your doctor’s visit go smoothly and that you aren’t faced with being “out of action” for a long time. May He also grant you a spiritual miracle; may He bless you with faith and courage.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Morwenna), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Morwenna in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Archangel Raphael.
Gods healer.
The archangel of the christians journey to heaven.

O Great Archangel, St. Raphael, you have been appointed by

God to become our healer and to guide us in our earthly
pilgrimage to our home in heaven. We beg you to assist us in
all our undertakings and in all the trials and pains of this
earthly life. We pray for constant good health both physically,
mentally and spiritually. We beseech you to guide always
our steps that we shall walk with confidence towards our
journey, and enlighten us with our doubts generated by
intellectual pride and worldly ambitions. St. Raphael, please
present to God the following petitions: restore Morwenna’s health and guard her and her family.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord together with the Holy Spirit
forever and ever.
Amen.
