Dear JP Augustine,

Wow. Before reading this post, I was thinking of a JW friend of mine, and for some strange reason from there, I started thinking of a dream I had where the Pope John Paul came to visit me here in America. And then I read your post, only to see the exact same thing as I’m thinking in my mind at that very same instant !!!

Do you think you will go physically to Rome? Spiritually it certainly seems like you’ve made the trip! * smiles *

Like you, my dream occurred before the Pope’s death. In the dream, the Pope remained seated in a special chair, due to his poor health. Before he died, either I was not able to see or was not yet ready to allow myself to see what the dream meant. After all, the Pope did not even speak in the dream … only chuckled good-naturedly once at something I said. But after he died, I knew that there was an action he had wanted me to take, and if I did not take that action, I would end up dearly regretting it.

I think the Pope must have prayed for the intention of strong family life in America, and then it turned out that the grace from that prayer was more specifically applied to me.

I suppose the coincidence just now implies that if the opportunity to bring up this dream arises in my next telephone call to my JW friend, I should do my best to bring it up. Been wondering how to talk to her lately, as she’s kept her religion secret from me for 13 years and I’ve only recently been let in on her secret through a JW website link in an otherwise blank and impersonal e-mail. She still can’t bring herself to tell me with her own voice.

JP Augustine:
Yep, Pope John Paul has been a very powerful force in my life in many ways. I won’t even go into the dreams I’ve had (before his death) in which we were discussing theological topics and in which he said, “I’ve come to you several times now…I want you to come visit me in Rome.”

I get chills thinking about it, even now…

Regards,

John Paul Augustine (my confirmation name!)

This invitation is to anyone who is a former JW now Catholic. Please send me your conversion story so I can add it to our website. I got bjustb’s and will have it up shortly.

Email it to me at jschwehm@catholicxjw.com

Here is our website of JW to Catholic conversion stories:

catholicxjw.com/conversions.html

The conversion stories are very powerful. I have had former JWs read them and then email me asking for more information about the Catholic Church. It is one of the most popular parts of the website.

I was never a JW, but since I wasn’t really educated about my faith, their brochures I got often actually fooled me, and confused me when I read Catholic teachings. I never knew there were different denominations, I was about 6-8 years old then.

Then my family started becoming more religious again… a bit

AND I found this forum
