As a follow-up to my few posts a while back… I’m delighted to say I received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist at the Easter Vigil last night. A note of thanks to Catholic Answers for the information, forums, radio programs, etc, which have been and will continue to be a source of valuable assistance.

He is Risen! Alleluia!

Welcome to the Body of Christ. May you be greatly bless and become a great blessing to others!

I went to the Melkite Greek Catholic Liturgy last night. So because of this, I have “Christ is risen from the dead”! refrain in my head. But that is PERFECT for Pascha (Easter). Welcome home:thumbsup:

So you and I swam the Tiber at the same time!! Welcome home!!

Mind if I ask what it was that converted you?

I was Church Of England, went through RCIA in my late teens. By baptism was valid but obviously I had to be confirmed and take communion. For me, it was two things. The teaching and pastoral authority - the priest who administered the sacrament to me had his done by another by another by another and so on throughC to the time when Jesus said “you are Peter and on this rock you I will build my Church” (Matt 16:18). CoE had broken that authority.

The second was the real presence of the Eucharist. I viscerally felt it. Non Catholic churches felt somewhat empty. Almost mere buildings.
