The people in the hall certainly don’t agree on Putin’s behavior in the Ukraine conflict. They do agree, however, that we are in a global anthropological crisis that is attacking the nature and identity of the human person, and they share the same determination to rise against it.

I don’t understand the title though, that ‘anti-family’ poison spread from Russia? It has spread from the West with the introduction of contraception, free love in the '60s, single parent families, abortion on demand, etc…and more recently the complete disintegration of marriage through the introduction of SSM.

It has spread from the West with the introduction of contraception, free love in the '60s, single parent families, abortion on demand, etc…and more recently the complete disintegration of marriage through the introduction of SSM.

Although I haven’t read it, I have heard that all you mentioned is directly related to the Communist Manifesto. If so, then this certainly does come from Russia, not the west. Perhaps someone better read can comment?

Let’s assume that is correct, i.e. that it was laid out in the communist manifesto. But how did communist ideals ‘spread’ to the West, particularly as the West totally shunned Russia during the cold war era, as well as communism?

The West still managed, with its’ capitalist /democratic ways, to get to the same point i.e. the erosion of marriage and the family.

This stinks of soviet socialism. Everything the Soviet Union did was for appearances. The tried to hide the conditions most citizens were living in. The people lived in fear of being reported on by neighbors and friends.

The pro-family stuff being promoted by Putin et al. is propaganda. Don’t fall for it. Putin doesn’t care about human life; he just wants more Russian babies. Nothing wrong with that except that many children already are abandoned at orphanages because the parents can’t afford them.

No really, I think this could take off. All these “pro-family” activists have to do is explain that they were inspired by Putin and that they think we should follow his lead and incorporate those ideals here. I mean, there’s no way that Americans wouldn’t get on board with that.

Are you serious?

Moscow became Communist due to New York, London and Washington DC.

And Moscow eventually repudiated Communism, while the US remains in a Communist system.

The article linked to in the OP stated that in just 5 years, there has been a 30% reduction in the number of orphans in Russia. I’m also not sure why you think this is propaganda and what it is you think we shouldn’t fall for. Is the message not sound?
