So many lives in the modern era ruined because, apparently, “pornography isn’t going to hurt anyone.”
I wonder if a politician could make a name for himself and introduce a bill to ban pornography.
I think it would get more than a few votes.

…]We spoke about it at length and he insisted that I refrain from the sacrament of confession and the Holy Eucharist until I am able to get this vice under control.

Well, that’s certainly not the answer, and frankly one does not need 7+ years of seminary education to tell you that one. Perhaps refraining from the Most Holy Eucharist due to being improperly disposed, sure. But to refrain from Confession? That makes no sense.:dts:
…] What can I do? Keep running from confessional to confessional every week and keep fighting harder? Abstain from going to confession because I really believe I am abusing the sacrament without real repentance?
What you need is to not fight harder, but rather to work on perseverance. Trust in the fact that God loves you, and loves you so much that He is going to help you through this. You need to continue confession, and go to a regular confessor, ideally that confessor should also be your Spiritual Director. Through this sort of accountability, one can more easily persevere, and at the same time your Spiritual Director will be in a more able position to identify how God’s sanctifying grace is working in and through you.

You are in my prayers. 👍

In addition, I suggest (as someone in the process of coming into the Church in a family of outsiders) you critique what you mean by “strong family”, “strong Catholic”, “strong Catholic family”. Not to rubbish the precious partial gifts God has given in your background but to see what spectrum of clues they give as to how to go forward from here.

So far, at least in recent years, there has been a fairly prominent place in your life for a specific Society and senior religious personnel mostly associated specifically with it.

I challenged God to put me in touch with ordinary believers who could model the Christian life for me and He has brought me up against many extremely strange people.
