If my finger is cut off, it is still part of my body. It is not outside my body, but it is separated.
Well I never thought that anyone could come to the idea that Christ’s Body may have amputated parts, but here we have it.

I think such thinking is way beyond proper ecclesiology. Christ does not have any amputated digits.
Oh, one more thing just to be clear…as a former Catholic, your personal situation is far more problematic…I might go so far as to call it “grave”.
Well that is an amazing moral assessment, but I understand with you being so RC-centric. But thanks for your personal estimation anyway.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, redeemed of God, and saved by His grace. I might go so far as to call that “grave proof.”

Separated from what?

The Body of Christ?

If so, then I am outside His Body and damned.

This is a necessity in any orthodox Christian ecclesiology.
A less-fruitful or unfruitful branch of the vine if you like - but not yet cut off from it (damnation doesn’t happen until after death, remember!)

While there’s life and breath in you you can be ‘saved’, reunited, become fruitful, whatever terminology you prefer.

Your right we must be one

(Acts 4:32) “The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had EVERYTHING in common.”

(Eph 4:3-6) “Striving to reserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace. One body and one Spirit as you were called one hope of your call; one Lord one faith, one baptism one God and Father of all who is over all and through all in all.”

By the way you still have not answered my question

As I said, if you are uncomfortable with this analogy, that’s fine. Let’s stick with “imperfect communion”.

What are your issues with that phraseology?

BTW, I am all for the idea that only God can judge what has really occured between you, him and the Catholic Church. However, I’m fairly comfortable saying that if you were to call into the Catholic Answers Live program one day and speak with Jimmy Akin or Fr. Serpa about your particular situation, they would be somewhat circumspect about the position in which you have placed yourself. By this, I mean that they would not be very quick to say, “No problem. You’re good.”

Of course, I have asked repeatedly at what age you stopped learning the Catholic faith and at what age you finally left the Church. Culpability is age-dependent.

If anyone besides Atemi disagrees, by all means, explain.

TIA.

ROFL!

Lily.

You really believe YOU know how fruitful of a branch I am in the Lord?

I suppose you believe merely being Catholic makes one fruitful.

LOL. I know waaaaay better than that.

The hubris is staggering.

BTW, the claim was that I was OUTSIDE of the Body of Christ, not an “unfruitful” branch.

There is no communion with a severed finger, Randy. You are flailing with explanations.

LOL!

Who are Mr. Akin and Mr. Serpa to me?

Who are they to judge someone else’s servant?

I could care less about any personal analysis by Akin or Serpa as they are not my Master, nor do they know squat about by relationship with Him.

But if you seek the constant approval of men, you can fawn all over them if you like.

I have never stopped learning about Catholicism and I left Catholicism when I was about 25.

BTW, I am culpable for no wrongdoing as I have been justifed in the Lord. For me to be culpable, you must judge me as guilty of some wrongdoing.

Rom 14:4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

Here are the questions again in regard to this post

1)Do you not think that people would protest against this so called false teaching back then as you do now?

question
2) do you have proof of their teaching?

question
3)So where is the leaders of your Church that should of been telling us this is wrong?

question
4) The bottom line is if you cant show us that your church taught againtst what we show people have always believed then what proof do you have of anything? why should we believe anything you say?

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET A RESPONSE?
