Dear Brothers and Sisters,
HERE is an article entitled “Lest They Receive It in Vain” which addresses the very real possibility of receiving sacramental grace – and in particular the grace of Eucharist, unfruitfully, and thus in vain.
It is addressed to clergy and laity alike, published in the online magazine “Homiletic and Pastoral Review”. I encourage all to read and ponder the author’s insights. While he doesn’t specifically mention Mary in the article, I could not help but think of Mary as our perfect example of one who received Grace - always fruitfully!
