DarkLight,

I said a prayer for you.

As a previous poster encouraged, walking or getting some form of exercise will help you deal with the stress.

It sounds like education is most likely you’re best way out of your position. I encourage you to keep pursuing your education, especially if it results in a degree that will help you attain a career that allows you to be happy and support yourself financially.

I know your struggle well. If it weren’t for my husband I would be on total government assistance. Even now we struggle greatly with just with medical bills and living in a relatively safe apartment since I’m home all the time. We live paycheck to paycheck, and when that doesn’t work we occur more debt. 😦

I know it’s hard to think positively, but being able to work 40 hours a week is a HUGE blessing when you are facing chronic health issues. I could never ever work that many hours. Right now I can’t work at all, or even get out of the house regularly. I’m not saying your troubles aren’t real, or that you don’t have it bad. I just didn’t know if you had even considered your ability to work as a step in the right direction. I also second seeing about disability. Or maybe a move is in store?

Also, for the time being, you are going to have to decide which is more emotionally satisfying (to limit stressors):
  1. Study a field in school that you enjoy but live with your family.
OR
  1. Drop the field of study you love and do some sort of vocational training, but not have to live with your family, or at least only until that vocational school ended (usually 6months to 2years.)

Bit of an old thread. Not that I mind! But things have changed - I’ll update more when I get home and am not posting from my phone.
