Dear Forum members,
I feel like a suitor who is being frustrated by a reluctant father
from courting his daughter!
Here’s the situ: I have a vision for a Church for the Poor in Canada,
and have spoken to the Associate priest at my parish,
however I am baffled that I CANNOT get a word edge-wise with
the Senior priest, who is having a lot of health concerns besides
having a super-busy schedule!
Please, I covet your prayers, that I may at least get a chance to
court THE CHURCH, my highest joy!(Ps 137), esp. at this time of
Lent!

Jesus our Lord, I trust in you, and place this person’s intentions in your most sacred heart. Please grant GLam8833 the comfort of your love, healing and inner peace as well as strength and courage to persue the worthy cause of a church for the poor.

Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
Amen.

Lord, be not far from us.
Awake and be vigilant in our defense, our God.

Loving Father,
you are not far from any of us since in you we live,
move and have our being.
Kindly increase our awareness of your presence,
and take care of our pressing needs.
Christ, our Lord, assures us you will.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Praying for your intentions.

For the pastor and his health concerns, as well as his difficult schedule of having to devote so much time to his sheep; for you and for your desire to serve the Church; that, in both of these things, the will of the Lord may be done, in accordance to His wisdom and for His glory, I pray,

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen…

We continue to pray for my parish priest’s consent as
to the validity of my burden for a Church for the Poor,
he is still avoiding me like the plague.

Our Father, who is in heaven,
Your name be held holy,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts as we have forgiven our debtors,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

I pray for our priest, that he would be sympathetic to
the need for a Church for the Poor!

Our Father, who is in heaven,
Your name be held holy,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,

I continue to pray that my “vision” for
a Church for the Poor may take root
in the church where I attend.

Your kingdom come,

Give us this day our daily bread,

For my vision for a Church for the POOR,
who is, as St. Lawrence revealed to the
Authorities, the REAL TREASURE of the
Church!

Your name be held holy,
Your kingdom come,

Heavenly Father please bless this parish and its priests.
Bless all who live in Canada.
Bless the poor and needy through our prayers and practical assistance, and with their will to cooperate with grace and opportunity.
Bless all according to Your vision and Your will, whether we see it as You do or not.

Prayer of the Day

PRAYER OF SAINT TERESA BENEDICTA

O my God, fill my soul with holy joy,
courage and strength to serve you.
Enkindle your love in me and then
walk with me along the next stretch
of road before me. I do not see very
far ahead, but when I have arrived
where the horizon now closes down,
a new prospect will open before me
and I shall meet with peace. Amen.

Thanks for the beautiful prayer-post, Trishie!

Jesus did NOT just come to die for you or me,
He died for the CHURCH, because He loved
her MORE THAN HIS OWN life! How sad
it is when He sees strife and factions in the
Church, I’m lecturing MYSELF as I say this,
but we MUST come to the point where we
must AT LEAST admit to having fallen short!!!

Hail holy Queen, Mother of mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope,
to you do we CRY, poor banished children of Eve,
to you do we raise up our sighs, mourning and weeping
in this Valley of Tears. Turn, then, Most gracious Advocate,
your eyes of mercy towards us, and after this our exile,
show to us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus,
O clement, O loving, O kind Virgin Mary!
(Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we
may be made worthy of the promises of Christ!).
Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
