Hi,

Just received information that on Friday, May 30th at 10:00 am, EWTN will be broadcasting the Priestly ordinations of the FSSP.

The ordinations will be administered by H.E Dario Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos.

enjoyed your photos from your church. i especially liked the photo of Christ taken down from the cross, in recline. i’ve never seen this sculpture–simply beautiful.

you’re blessed to have such a vibrant parish celebrating the EF, and what a great legacy to have such a large turn out at the EF of Good Friday service.

This is another great sign that the Church as a whole is reclaiming her traditions and spirituality! The fact that EWTN are broadcasting more and more traditionally themed programmes can only help the traditionalist movement.

The FSSP Ordinations may be the first time some people get to see traditional Catholic spirituality and practice. I am sure that this exposure will cause many people to discover the riches of the Tridentine Mass. It may even inspire more people to become FSSP Priests!
 
Hi Lux,

I was at the 9:30am Mass at the Grotto last Sunday as I was in Detroit for a wedding. Could not make it to the noon Mass or procession, unfortunately. The 9:30 was a Latin Novus Ordo which was nice but I had hoped to catch an EF.

You are blessed indeed there at the Grotto–an oasis in many ways. Your pastor is extraordinary.

It is my hope to be a part of a newly planned FSSP Latin Mass community in the state where I live but plans are moved back because of the great demand for the FSSP. I sure hope the holy vocations keep on coming so that we can have our hoped for community.

WOW ! Thanks for that. Here’s a loaded question. Can we get transmission of EWTN online if we don’t have cable? I still don’t have it at home but wondered if computer might work. :confused:

This action - should stamp out the error of women priests forever!

First - the decree of excommunication on any and all who attempt female ordinations - and then the Traditional Rite of Ordination - where there is NO MISTAKE of what a priest is - Alter Christus!

It is about time!
