FSSP Ordinations this Saturday!

For those in the area, I highly recommend making the pilgrimage to Lincoln, Nebraska, for the FSSP ordinations of 5 young men to the priesthood at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ. They will be held this Saturday, June 1st, at 10:00 a.m., and be presided over by His Excellency Bishop James Conley (who, coincidentally, will be the keynote speaker at a Catholic Answers engagement in September).

If you are unable to attend, you can watch the event live at: livemass.net/LiveMass/daily.html

Please keep these 5 men in your prayers as they take their final step in their long journey to the priesthood:

Deacon Michael Passo, FSSP
Deacon Joseph DeGuzman, FSSP
Deacon Anthony Uy, FSSP
Deacon Kevin Young, FSSP
Deacon Charles Vreeland, FSSP
 
Here is a list of the first Masses that the newly ordained will be offering, 3 of which will be Sunday, June 2nd, at Immaculate Conception Church in Omaha, Nebraska. A reception will follow the 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Solemn High Masses where the faithful can also receive first blessings from the new priests (plenary indulgence possible under the usual conditions).

Very pleased to hear about it. Only thing that causes me pause is the way that cathedral looks.

One of my friends is in the seminary there. I can hardly wait to receive Holy Communion from him!

Agreed. It’s a shame that Lincoln couldn’t do better than that. At least the old cathedral downtown (St. Mary’s) is a beautiful church.
