FSSP Priestly Ordinations

[larsont7]

Please keep the following men in your prayers who are to be ordained to the holy priesthood this coming Saturday, May 28th, at St. Cecilia’s Cathedral in Omaha, Nebraska:

Rev. Mr. Edward Brodsky
Rev. Mr. Joshua Houck
Rev. Mr. Christopher Mahowald
Rev. Mr. Dominic Savoie

If you are unable to attend, I know in the past they have aired the ordinations on livemass.org so hopefully they will do the same this year. If you have the means and time available, I would highly recommend making the trip as it is quite an amazing ceremony and Mass in a beautiful cathedral.

[MaryT777]

Prayers for Revs Brodsky, Houck, Mahowald, and Savoie that they may be abundantly blessed as faithful servants to the Lord.

Mary.

[fin]

Praying that they would be good and holy priests to those they minister to. Saint John Vianney, we recommend these priests to your intercession.

[gardenswithkids]

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

St. Joseph, pray for them. St. John Vianney, intercede on their behalf.

[RPRPsych]

Praying…
O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God, still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity.

• O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.*
• O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. *
O show us that you are our Mother.
• O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands.*
• Amen*

[pollylodges]

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer for Newly Ordained Priests

O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear our humble prayers on behalf of your priests. Give them a deep faith, a bright and firm hope, and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of their priestly lives.

In their loneliness, comfort them; in their sorrows, strengthen them; in their frustrations, point out to them that it is through suffering that the soul is purified. Show them that they are needed by the Church, they are needed by souls, they are needed for the work of redemption.

O loving Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests, take to your heart your sons who are close to you because of their priestly ordinations, and because of the power which they have received to carry on the work of Christ in a world which needs them so much. Be their comfort, be their joy, be their strength, and especially help them to live and to defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy.

Amen.
