For the FSSP does a candidate apply with the FSSP seminary or the diocese he resides in? Do FSSP priets stay in the same diocese like a secular diocesan priest?
First of all, I am not affiliated with the FSSP so I am not allt hat sure. However, I do know that the FSSP has a Seminary in Lincoln Nebraska called “Our Lady of Guadalupe” and another one in Wigratzbad in Germany. I believe when one joins the FSSP, he is not a Diocesian. For the FSSP does a candidate apply with the FSSP seminary or the diocese he resides in? I hope I helped. The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter is a Clerical Society of Apostolic Life of Pontifical right, that is, a community of Roman Catholic priests who do not take religious vows, but who work together for a common mission in the world.
I wouldn’t be dating if I went there. You would contact the vocations director of the FSSP and apply to them. They would send you to their seminary if you were accepted.
But I think they frown on their candidates dating.
The problem is less so in that, and more in the fact that you’re dating now. Seminaries like for their men to have been celibate for a bit before entering.I wouldn’t be dating if I went there.
If one is dating, one is celibate (unless one is playing with the fire of adultery). The problem is less so in that, and more in the fact that you’re dating now. Seminaries like for their men to have been celibate for a bit before entering.
Do you have any evidence for this? The problem is less so in that, and more in the fact that you’re dating now. Seminaries like for their men to have been celibate for a bit before entering.
Its actually commonsense, isn’t it?Do you have any evidence for this?
My evidence is personal experience as a seminarian. I’ve been through the application process, so I know what they look for. In fact, I nearly did not get into seminary because it hadn’t been long enough since I’d last dated. So my recommendation is that if you really think you are called, then end the relationship and wait at least a year.Do you have any evidence for this?
I think a bigger impediment to your vocation might be your tendency to ask questions like this, while ignoring the responses of veteran religious. For the FSSP does a candidate apply with the FSSP seminary or the diocese he resides in?
