If you were on twitter and you saw that someone followed you and clicked on there name and naked pictures came up you blocked the follower and then other person with naked pictures followed you and you blocked them and it it happened again and you masturbated would it be not mortal because you did not want to see the pictures in the first place but you saw them when you clicked on the following you because it wasn’t full consent? Please help me

There is still full consent there. Just because you didn’t want to see the picture doesn’t mean you didn’t have full consent to then masturbate.

There are so many variables there that only you and God can know if it was mortal or not. It could be, and has a good chance of being, but there are many more factors. I would go to confession either way, and if I had a problem with twitter that I couldn’t control myself when I saw something on there I shouldn’t see, I’d find a way to prevent it or stop frequenting the site.

Depends whether you actually mean ‘masturbate’ here, I.e. deliberate stimulation of the sexual organs for arousal. If you did this, then yes, you consented to do it, because the word ‘deliberate’ carries that connotation.

If, on the other hand, you mean you ejaculated after seeing the pictures, or had some involuntary physical reaction to them, and as someone who has struggled to overcome past sins with internet sites I know that can happen, then there may not have been full consent.

Either way, pray, pray, pray. We don’t need to wait for a mortal sin to get to Confession, and besides forgiving sins, the sacrament also strengthens us with God’s grace to resist sin, so I would recommend it. I will pray for you.

It’s still an obvious mortal sin, and an obvious rationalization of it.
  1. You consented to click the links, with at least some knowledge of what they would contain, and
  2. No amount of pornography forces you to masturbate, just as if the entire world was made of heroin, it still couldn’t cook itself, hold you down and force a needle in to your arm. No picture can paralyze you, drop your pants, and move your arm - only you can do that.

The problem is I have never encountered it before on twitter and I have been doing my best to stay very far away from it. Whenever I see it it triggers something cycologically and it is so hard to resist. I was innocently trying to see who was following me and it popped up. I resisted the first two time it happened and when a third different person had bad pictures on it it triggered something. Every time I was innocently trying to find out who was following me. I had know idea that it would happen! I always have tried to stay away from that stuff because it is a cycological problem for me.

Its very simple. If you know masturbating is a sin of grave matter and you do it anyway then you have committed a mortal sin, and frankly I would find it hard to believe any Catholic does not know masturbation is a sin of grave matter.

I do and I know that those pictures would trigger it so I stayed away from them. I innocently stumbled upon them not at all on purpose and it triggered my old habit. At first I didn’t even know it was a sin at first when I found out it was a habit. I heard that immaturity and it benign habitual made it less culpable

These are the excuses people look for to try to justify the sin and continue doing it.
Do NOT masturbate!!

Do NOT masturbate!!
Catechism of the Catholic Church
2352 By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual pleasure. “Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered action.”138 “The deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose.” For here sexual pleasure is sought outside of “the sexual relationship which is demanded by the moral order and in which the total meaning of mutual self-giving and human procreation in the context of true love is achieved.”139 (1735)
To form an equitable judgment about the subjects’ moral responsibility and to guide pastoral action, one must take into account the affective immaturity, force of acquired habit, conditions of anxiety, or other psychological or social factors that can lessen, if not even reduce to a minimum, moral culpability.
the passage that applies here is
To form an equitable judgment about the subjects’ moral responsibility and to guide pastoral action
and you’re not qualified to make a equitable judgement or take pastoral action. and the op is a minor ,adults have no business giving advice to minors on sexual maters on an internet forum !!!

didn’t realize two things regarding this thread when i posted my last post. 1. threads almost 2 years old 2. the op is a minor, it is highly inappropriate for adults to give advice to minors on sexual matters on an internet forum
