Anyways, what if someone remembers committing a grave matter bit honestly can’t remember if they knew it was grave at the time?

Whatever troubles your conscience, confess it. Sure, if you did not know something was grave matter at the time you did it, you are not guilty of mortal sin, but doubts can cause you to have real anxieties. The simple solution is confess whatever troubles you, leaving your culpability to God.

If you confess, you will have peace. If you do not confess, you will have recurring anxiety, whenever the matter returns to your mind. Better to confess and get rid of it!
