Forgive me if this is in the wrong place to post this - this site is very large.
Leo X’s bulls Exsurge Domine, which warned Martin Luther to recant, and Decet Romanum Pontificem, which excommunicated him, can be seen here: papalencyclicals.net/Leo10/index.htm. I read in several sources that, as well as Luther, a certain Lazarus Spengler was condemned by name in these bulls, but can find no mention of this in the text. Is it possible that parts of the bull no longer relevant are now left out? Was it only perhaps added only in certain editions?
