I have been so happily surprised by this show. I was dreading they would ruin the original but nope! The show keeps the same innocence and cheesiness and it’s awesome. All the episodes are now available on netflix to stream. Needless to say it’s full of nostalgia but I’m sure enjoying it. 👍👍👍

Watched all 13 episodes…originally was not going to.

However, a few things turned me off …like rolling my eyes…innuendo and the “drinking”. Oh, and they made a few mistakes…Nicky and Alex’s room was on the left side…not right… ( I watched the original 1980s series )

I watched the first episode with my middle daughter last night. I was pretty impressed too. There was a couple of jokes that could have been left out, but the vast majority of if was true to the family oriented values of the original.
I keep seeing articles all over the internet about the one actress’s…um…plastic surgery.
Is it that obvious?

There was a pretty consistent effort to show cleavage of the middle daughter. In the episode I watched there was one joke about it that I though could have been left out.

Yes there is a bit of innuendo in the show that was not necessary but tbh I expected a lot worse. Compared to sitcoms today, it’s pretty mild.

I did notice the generous size of ‘Stephanie’s’ bosom and wondered about that 🤷🤷

I have only seen 4 episodes so I hope I’m not disappointed further on. All in all it’s at least something you can watch without having to skip half the show lol

After this brief stint back in western tv, it’s back to kdramas for me anyway hehe

I saw her on the Jimmy Fallon show - it was a hilarious spoof on Trump as Michelle from Full House. I immediately said to my daughters, “wow, DJ has had some serious plastic surgery!!”.

Candace Cameron Buce was wearing a very low-cut top and her face looked totally different.

Not only was she very thin, but her nose is smaller and her eyes and bust were bigger.

It didn’t even look like her, IMO.

I’ve only seen one clip and it was a nice poke at the Olsen twins. Some along the lines of “Where is Michelle?” “She is in New York working on her fashion line.” ::They all look at the camera:: It was cute and I may watch it. I don’t really care about small continuity errors. Kirk “Ray Comfort’s Banana Twin” Cameron’s sister will be interesting to watch considering how much her brother is.

Side note is it looks like they may be bringing back Home Improvement.

So I watched the full season. While I thought it was overall pretty good, there were a few instances that I felt were not appropriate. Besides Stephanie’s cleavage, In one episode Steve and Matt accidentally make contact and kiss attempting to Kiss DJ. I understand the comedy… but I could be just anal too.

Also, in Episode 12, Stephanie makes kissing contact with Kimi, unwillingly of course. The face of regret showed on her face after, as it was not something Steph intended or wanted from Kimi,

Beyond that, the show is pretty good. If you can get past the same sex comedy kissing scenes, and Stephanie’s cleavage in episode 1, and a few others, than I think you will like this show.

Season 2 has already been confirmed, I am hoping they keep this family friendly, and not make it an NBC Comedy with propaganda and homosexuality encouragement.

Right, that part was a little much. In the shows defense, in most episodes it’s pretty modest, she is usually wearing a t shirt or dress that covers more. Episode one with her cleavage was the most you will see by far in the series.

I have some qualms with it, but overall I’m enjoying it. They captured the feel of the original series pretty will (something Girl Meets World failed at). After reading the initial reviews I was afraid it would be completely terrible.

The cleavage on Steph in the first episode was a bit much, and DJ’s outfit when they go to a bar seems shorter than a lot of lingeries, but outside of those two instances the outfits have been much more conservative for the main cast, though I do have a few more episodes to watch in the season.

I don’t think what happened between Steve and Matt when they, er… missed DJ at the same time was really scandalous. It was just a funny accident, and there was no agenda behind it, and their characters are both straight.

I just watched the preview someone linked and it looks cute. I might have to watch it now. So glad they brought Kimmy Gibbler back. 😃

Yeah, I think you’re right about that. Sometimes I get carried away and become too sensitive sometimes.

There is something that I have to ask. Would all of you be happy if the women were in full robes with only their eyes showing?

I haven’t seen it yet.

But my sister told me a bit about it.

DJ was raised without a mom because she died, and now she’s a widow.

And it’s a comedy?

Couldn’t DJ have a happier life?

Now now why do you have to be so extreme? I know you are kidding but 🤷

My question to you is,
Why do you want to see women exposed who are not your wife?

Maybe because it seems that is the only thing that will calm people down. “Ermehgerd she has cleavage. BURN HER!!” is almost the rhetoric here. I don’t care if she shows all her “skin”. The human body is lovely to behold.

As for DJ not having a happier life as a previous poster said, it is called developing a character. If only good things happen that character is rather dull. “Oh look here is DJ who is happy in all things and has a successful life…moving on”
