Funeral for non practicing catholic

I have wondered, in the case of my mother’s death, would I be able to give her a catholic funeral if she is a non practicing catholic? I figure there wouldn’t be a mass, but to me, the right thing to do for her soul would be to give her a catholic funeral. Is that possible?
