Funny Situation with an EMHC

So I was at mass this afternoon and I was in the communion line. I normally receive the Eucharist on the tongue, but as I approached the Eucharistic minister, the following thoughts went through my head in about 1/2 a second:
  1. The minister is about 4’10" tall.
  2. She is in her 70’s.
  3. I am 6’2" tall.
  4. I don’t think she can reach my mouth.
  5. I could somehow bend down and meet her half way.
  6. This might cause her to drop the Eucharist
  7. Quick, make a decision, she has the Eucharist in her hand!
  8. OK, I’m receiving on the hand today.
I just thought someone might get a smile out of this rather awkward situation.😃
 
Our Deacon is 4’11". I saw one of the tallest people in our parish approach him for Communion last week. This guy has to be 6’5" at least. He did recieve on the tongue but the Deacon really had to stretch to reach.
 
If you kneel to receive, would you be just about eye-to-eye?😉
 
I, too, am tall. We have old, shaky EMs at our church. When necessary, I receive on the hand to protect the Eucharist.
