It appears that Divineoffice.org no longer has the LOTH’s available.

Their explanation isn’t clear, but just letting people know that that site isn’t available for people to learn how to pray the LOTH’s.

Any further info appreciated.

I’m having no trouble reaching it. You DO have to be a registered member in order to use the website.

FYI, you cannot register for the site any longer either. I am not registered either but purchased the app for my tablet and phone both of which still work.

Hi Jim -

I’m not having any problems. Could there be an issue with your user account?

I agree their message from a couple months ago wasn’t very clear. My take was that maybe they were having copyright issues with the hymns they use. Lately I’ve noticed they’ve been completely changing the hymns and most are now copyrighted under their name … Surgeworks. The music definitely seems to be a work in progress. Everything else about the site seems to be as normal … at least for me.

Hope this helps,
Dave 🙂

I don’t think I ever registered there. Didn’t know I was suppose to.

I generally don’t use the website, but use my Breviary, However, I’ll check to verify I’m using the correct pages, when the guide seems in conflict as it was this week on Monday for the memorial of the beheading of John the Baptist. The guide had different pages for the psalms than the breviary.

I’m on their FB page, but they merely post the ling to the website.

I use the paid app downloaded off the Apple app store. I think it was $20 but it was well worth it for me to not have to lug around the 4-volumes everywhere I go. Maybe they’ve discontinued the free site?

Dave 🙂

Nah, they just posted to me on their FB page, same info as the website.

New members, i.e. those of us who didn’t register, will be locked out.

OK, like I said, I rarely used the site, but it was a good place to refer people who wanted to learn how to pray the LOTH’s.

So be it.

The US Bishops forced them to close the site to anyone who wasn’t a member or hadn’t bought the app. It wasn’t just the hymns.

Here is more info:

Thanks, that pretty much explains it.

You’d think the US Bishops would work things out, being they own the copyrights on the text ?

Anyway, I use my four volume set, but was just wondering what happened Monday
s memorial of the beheading of John the Baptist, as the guide had different pages for the psalms than the breviary. For morning prayer, the Breviary listed, 652, and the Guide listed 817.
