Not cousins but sisters. Mary was the wife of Clopas who was also know as Alpheus. Clopas/Alpheus was the brother of Joseph. That makes Mary, wife of Clopas/Alpheus, the sister (sister-in-law actually) of Mary, wife of Joseph. It also makes James, son of Alpheus, a cousin of Jesus.
